    Social Solutions is looking to hire an executive level marketing and communications professional ho can drive our growth by architecting strategic relationships and engagements that amplify our impact. This individual will be responsible for increasing public and industry awareness of Social Solutions while increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of internal and external communications. The ideal candidate should be an experienced brand builder and corporate communicator.

    The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will lead the organization’s marketing and communications function including developing and executing strategies to promote Social Solutions’ digital, social media, online, print, and website communications, developing media strategy and outreach, and executing messaging for key stakeholder audiences.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the development of content, execution of it internally and externally, and distribution for strategies to maximize exposure and impact
    • Lead public/constituent engagement via social media platforms, search engine campaigns (and improving hit rates), online advertisements, and other promotional marketing and outreach
    • Provide recommendations to executive team on marketing and communication opportunities
    • Maintain presence at networking and recruitment events
    • Create communications and marketing campaigns and initiatives that spotlight Social Solutions’ research initiatives, project achievements, and other programs
    • Define marketing strategies to support the company's overall growth plans and goals
    • Analyze current marketing strategies and tactics and implement optimal changes
    • Develop actionable and effective marketing plans and oversee their day-to-day implementation
    • Pioneer and implement measurable strategies that will drive hard revenue goals and increase brand awareness at national and global levels
    • Establish guidance for all creative marketing communications and collateral across all channels, including: print, digital, video, in-app, brochures, reports, marketing materials, templates and all related branded communications vehicles
    • Responsible for modernizing our marketing and communication practices, defining the messaging, tone and unifying and simplifying our forward-facing presence
    • Responsible for creation and maintenance of internal communications including the corporate intranet, and branding and motivational materials to improve employee knowledge and satisfaction
    • Manage and oversee department budget
    • Understand industry competition, conduct research, and prepare briefs for executive team
    • Create company style guide/rules for business cards, signature blocks, social media profiles, etc. and train staff appropriately
    • Reengineer company website (internet and intranet) and assure content and function are maintained
    • Responsible for the development of all marketing materials
    • Support development of communications plans and language for use in proposals and business development activities
    • Support communications and marketing components of discrete projects as needed
    • Mentor team members and collaborate closely with other staff

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of professional experience in market research, marketing, insights, branding, analytics, and communication strategy development
    • Experience with corporate reputation, highly curated media monitoring, thought leadership, measurement and optimization, and brand position
    • Strategic thinker who understands marketing strategy and how to use research methods and analysis to deliver actionable findings for clients
    • Expert-level command of product marketing (messaging, product launches, personas, integrated marketing, sales enablement, etc.)
    • Experience with advertising, events/field marketing, communications, digital marketing, and marketing automation
    • Strong portfolio of developed and executed marketing campaigns, including a strong social media element, with quantitative results
    • Track record of building successful relationships across organizations to promote the impact and value of streamlined, consistent communications and messaging
    • Strong leader with experience managing large internal cross-practice, cross-functional teams (including research, planning, creative, programming, and analytics), as well as experience working across and leading integrated agency planning teams
    • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels using both technical and non-technical verbiage
    • Ability to turn data and analysis into insights and metrics that can be actionable in the context of marketing strategies and campaigns
    • Strong knowledge of marketing, traditional, social and digital media, and content development, social and website analysis, and consumer targeting tools and vendors
    • Quantitative research experience, potentially including media analysis, automated dashboard development and reporting, knowledge of social media publishing and listening tools and digital analytics
    • Qualitative research experience, potentially including landscape analysis and fact finding research
    • Demonstrated ability to assess reporting and modeled results from the perspective of the business and to adapt output accordingly
    • Business development mindset, and experience writing and presenting proposals
    • Experience managing project financials to ensure projects stay on budget and are profitable
    • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize individual and team time and projects, with the ability to multi-task
    • Self-starter with ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and produce
    • Ability to produce high volumes of quality content with limited oversight and guidance
    • Possess intellectual curiosity and approach business questions with creativity and insight
